Dave Liesemer, the dealer-owner of the Brantford Home Hardware on King George Road, has added another award to his list of honours.

Liesemer was presented with a “Proud of My Home Award’ at Home Hardware’s annual Spring Market in St. Jacob’s on April 3. He was one of 23 stores to be honoured with the award out of nearly 1,100 stores across Canada.
“We’re deeply honoured to be acknowledge with the Proud of My Home Award,” Liesemer said. “We take great pride in our community and the entire Brantford Home Hardward team.
“We will certainly be trying hard to be acknowledged with the award again next year.”
Recipients must provide superior excellence in customer service, staff performance and staff training as well as in-store and exterior presentation.
This is the 13th time Liesemer’s store has been recognized with the Proud of My Home Award. The store has also won Best Hardware Store of 2016, outstanding retailer awards and in 2012 was the recipient of the Home Hardware ‘Store of the Year,’ award.
“Brantford Home Hardware truly embodies the values Home Hardware was founded on including value, service and dependability,” Terry Davis, CEO of Home Hardware Stores Ltd., said.
Home Hardware is Canada’s largest dealer-owned hardware, lumber, building materials and furniture co-operative with close to 1,100 stores across the country. The company has sales of more than $6 billion annually.
Founded in St. Jacob’s in 1964, the company remains 100 per cent Canadian owned.
