Ignore the random snow flurries. It’s time to get those gardens in tip-top shape. Here are a few places that’ll give you the ingredients to success.

Terrain

914 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills

Terrain’s got everything from rustic urns to hip hanging baskets and even wooden dominoes to keep you entertained in your lush backyard space. It even offers landscaping services and has an on-site restaurant, because gardening can make a person work up an appetite.

Greensgrow Farms

2501 E. Cumberland St.

If you’ve ever wanted to become a CSA member or wondered what goes into planning a vegetable garden, Greensgrow has got you covered. With a fully stocked nursery full of seeds, plants and tools ideal for small gardening spaces — and a roster of events for both newbies and seasoned gardeners alike — this urban farm has got a little bit for everyone.

Urban Jungle

1526 E. Passyunk Ave.

Start a terrarium courtesy of the folks at Urban Jungle. Or browse the selection of plant containers, indoor and outdoor plants, fountains and more. The staff will even give you a home garden consultation to answer all your horticultural queries or design your green space for you.

Meadowbrook Farm

1633 Washington Lane, Jenkintown

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society isn’t responsible for only the Flower Show. It has its own dedicated farm, with greenhouses, indoor and outdoor plants. It has events year-round, such as how to make a succulent wreath or how to use vines in the design of your garden.

City Planter

814 N. 4th St.

Let City Planter do the work. The staff will create a concept with you and deliver it to your door. The store also carries plants, soil and other goodies that’ll turn an urban plot into a lush oasis. Allie Volpe
