A host of soap favourites joined Manchester fashion guru Matthew Williamson at the launch of his new active and yogawear collection.

Chorlton-born Matthew headed to his home city to to unveil his new six-piece capsule collection for sportswear brand USA Pro, including Capri leggings, zip-up jackets and crop tops.

And there to celebrate the summery new collection on a sunny day in Manchester were Coronation Street actresses Bhavna Limbachia, Faye Brookes, Sair Khan and Tisha Merry, former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett and Liverpool model and WAG Erin Borini who is married to Sunderland footballer Fabio Borini.

VIP guests enjoyed a meet and greet with the designer, healthy drinks and treats and fitness demonstrations.

This is the second collection for USA Pro by Matthew, one of the hottest properties in the fashion world who has built his reputation dressing style icons such as Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue and Sienna Miller.

And it has been inspired by nature and exotic travel, featuring palm leaf and flamingo prints.

Star designer Matthew honed his skills making clothes for friends and family from his Chorlton family home before he had even started high school.

And he got his big break when his designs were featured in the fashion bible Vogue.

He said about his latest collection for USA Pro: “I am delighted to be able to design for another part of every modern woman’s wardrobe – distinct from ready-to-wear yet important for their everyday lives.”
