The biggest fashion event in Mumbai, Lakmé Fashion Week is back for its winter/festive 2017 edition. Designers have been working on fresh collection for the last few months and we’ve got a sneak peek at what’s coming up this week. From Sanjay Garg’s Lakmé Absolute Grand Opening on Day 1 at Royal Opera House to Manish Malhotra’s closing show with a surprise showstopper, the next few days will be anything but boring. Without further ado, here are all the collections we are looking forward to and why.

Celebrity favourite designer Masaba Gupta, who categorises her brand under pop-kitsch, will be presenting a bridal collection this season. “The nonchalance of the Madagascar tribes and the mystique of the Himalayan orchards have been a major inspiration behind the collection. The idea with Masaba for Himalayan was to give tradition an unconventional upgrade, much like the rest of the designs from House of Masaba,” says the designer.
