The Coast product on Brad Pitt’s lips before Jolie split

THE little product Janine Hall used to give away to friends has already found its way into Brad Pitt’s man bag.

And who knows on whose lips it could end up this year.

Ms Hall’s organic lip balm has been selected to be included in the Hollywood gift basket for the Top 40 Nominees for the Academy Awards.

She was gob-smacked when she found out it would be included for the first time last year.

Cate Blanchett, Chris Rock, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence were all given her amazing little product in the 2016 premier Hollywood event in February.

Since then, interest in Ms Hall’s product has exploded, as has her business life.

Ms Hall became a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Awards and her customers now come from all over the world.

She said she had even had “women (and men) stalking me for some of the product”.

“I make it myself and I didn’t know where it would go when I pitched the product,” she said.

“It was part of another product line and I used to give it away and now I have a stand-alone international business.”

Last year, Ms Hall had to hand-stitch her calico bags, she had no proper website and then she took a chance.

“Life hasn’t been the same since,” she said.

She has also been approached to share her story on networking and has nearly finished writing a book.

And when she is busy selling her product at her new stall at the Eumundi Markets, she offers “lip-print readings”.

To celebrate her product appearing in the Academy Awards’ bags again, Ms Hall is hosting an “official product launch with sunset cocktails and a movie night”.

It will coincide with the Academy Awards on February 26 and will be held at the Caloundra Cinemas from 5.30pm.
