QUESTION – How do you do accessories right in the home?
When doing the interior décor of your house, ensure you set money aside for accessories. Like doing décor, accessorizing is all about layering: knowing which accessory to position first.
First off, you need to avoid distributing individual accessories in your house and instead put them in groups. Choose accessories that share character or texture but with varying heights and place them together. You can place items in a pyramid manner with the tallest on one end and the shortest on the extreme end.
Accessories bring out a great look when mixed with books. Books will warm up your living space. If you do not have books, make a point of acquiring some at a library or yard sale. They are quite affordable.
When arranging accessories, the anchor is the most important. Mostly, this is the tallest item on your group of accessories and which is surrounded by other items. Anchors do not get all attention to themselves but instead, bring order to your accessories. Though arranging objects around the anchor bring order, you need to pay attention to scale; accessories should not be too big or too small for the surface they are out on.
