The Shutterstock image editor launches this week with four new features to make design easier for small business owners and marketers. Stock images can provide an easy way for businesses to add interesting visuals to websites, content marketing and even ads. But personalizing and sharing those images can sometimes be a bit of a hassle.
New Version of Shutterstock Image Editor Launches
Shutterstock announced some updates to its Shutterstock Editor, which officially launched out of beta on October 20. The new features allow users to more easily edit and share images directly from Shutterstock.
With the new features, you can:
- personalize images with a logo or branded design,
- publish images directly to social media from the platform,
- access professionally designed templates, and
- save designs so that you can edit or publish them later.
Shutterstock’s Senior Director of Product, Hila Dar explained the changes in an email to Small Business Trends, “For the first time, users have an end-to-end online design solution within Shutterstock. Editor’s expanded functionality now features professionally designed templates and the ability to upload branded content such as a company logo or business image, save designs for editing later and publish finished designs to social networks from within the application, all while taking advantage of Shutterstock’s extensive collection of over 100 million images.”
Visual content has become increasingly important for businesses, especially with the growing popularity of social and content marketing. But for those small businesses that don’t have enough time or resources to dedicate to a full design program or staff, these new features offer an alternative that doesn’t require a lot of time or extra resources.
Dar says, “Editor is a simple online app designed to help busy small business owners take full advantage of Shutterstock’s collection to create visually compelling content for their business, ultimately spending less time trying to design and more time doing everything else.”
