Nourison will be introducing a new designer collection this week when High Point Market kicks off.The Christopher Guy by Nourison line will launch with 38 handmade area rugs available in New Zealand wool, silk and mohair constructions. The styles are based on the designer’s “personal interpretation of how Coco Chanel’s home may have looked if she were with us today,” Nourison said.
The program will be presented at both showrooms — Nourison atIH-101 in the International Home Furnishings Center, and Christopher Guy’s showroom at 129 S. Hamilton St.
Also new from Nourison this market are two Kathy Ireland collections: Home Heritage, a collection featuring an abstract industrial feel inspired by scenes from the streets of New York City and India; and Silver Screen, which features elegant, delicately distressed designs with a vintage vibe.
The focus and trend toward hand knotted rugs continues, and to foster it Nourison is also introducing the Lucent collection as well as new one-of-a-kind rugs. Lucent features traditional Tibetan floral patterns with an artfully faded vintage look. And the new one-of-a-kinds include abstract looks and silk sari rugs in rich, saturated colors.
The company’s Mina Victory Home Accents division is showing new Tibetan Lamb ombre pillows and cubes, and natural hide rugs in fresh colorways of blue, silver and indigo.
