It’s fair to say we’ve come a long way from traditional wedding dresses in recent years.
And while the majority of Irish brides tend towards the more conservative styles of gown for what is essentially a formal occasion, many are becoming more and more interested in the more ‘daring’ silhouettes currently on the contemporary side of the bridal market.
One particular batch of modern designers catering for those with a penchant for skin-skimming silhouettes and ultra luxe detailing is the current crop of daring couturiers coming out of Israel.
Berta Balilti, whose bridal label BERTA is based in Ashdod on the Mediterranean coast, is one such designer joining the likes of Inbal Dror, Zahavit Tshuba, Galia Lahav and Liz Martinez in shaping modern wedding fashion for style-conscious brides.
