Introducing The Keyword Blog from Google, a New Central Source For All Company News

There’s never a dull moment at Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL).

The search engine giant works on multiple products and services, making it difficult to keep tabs on the latest.

To address this problem, Google has now launched a central destination for all the latest news from inside Google, from Android to Translate.

Called Keyword, the new blog aggregates 19 blogs to present all the information you need in one place.

Introducing The Keyword Blog from Google

What to Expect Now

On its first post, Google says the “Keyword is designed to grow and change as we do, so as we introduce new products and technologies they can find a home here.”

It will also guide you to the big news of the week and show smaller updates from that afternoon.

What’s even more interesting about the new blog is its simplicity. The Product News tab gives a neat overview of all the different categories worth exploring. These include Docs, Drive, Translate, and more. Click on any one of the categories and get all the latest updates you need.

On the Topics tab, you will find information clubbed under categories such as Diversity, Google in Asia, Nonprofits, Trends, etc.

Interestingly, there’s an Entrepreneurs tab where you can find all the information about Google’s efforts to empower entrepreneurs.

What to Expect in Future

While there is no specific tab that covers small businesses in particular, in future Keyword may have a dedicated section aimed at benefiting small business owners.

Also the blog currently supports English language only, but in future support for other languages is likely to be added.

It’s worth mentioning that Facebook offers far more robust resources for small businesses at present. It’sFacebook Business page includes not just updates, but also useful tips and tricks to boost business online.

It will be interesting to see how Google shapes up its new blog from here on.
