Life is all about creating memories, and I’m about to make some very special ones. As you read this post, Mike and and I have started our adventure of Scotland the first leg of an exciting trip to the UK and Norway.
Before boarding a cruise to Norway, we will explore historic cities, stroll through charming English villages, and take in a little Scottish charm. One f the highlights will be attending the Edinburgh Tattoo the day before my 68th birthday. This has been on my bucket list for a long time as a former Highland dancer and teacher. I adore pipe bands! We’ll take in breathtaking fjords, picturesque towns, and the crisp Nordic air from there. Before I go, the final podcast episode before my break was published last Friday 22nd August. My last Your Weekly Boost newsletter which is my Wellness Reimagined monthly post will be on Monday 1st September. I’ll be taking some time off from regular posts after that, but don’t worry; Wellness Reimagined will be back on the first Monday of October. I will continue to use the hashtag #mikeandsuetraveladventures on my social media accounts to document our travels while I am away. You will be able to see our adventures in real time, from narrow cobblestone streets to expansive mountain views, if you would like to follow along.
Why take a break?
Our well-being greatly improves when we take a break from our usual routine. It provides us with an opportunity to reenergize our minds, cultivate relationships, and experience the joy of trying something new. Travel helps us feel reenergized and inspired when we return home, challenges our perspectives, and opens our hearts. I’m looking forward to coming back with fresh stories, new ideas, and (no doubt) hundreds of photos to share. In the meantime, here’s to making room for adventure, connection, and joy.
