Furniture from a Chingford shop was given a celebrity makeover at this year’s Ideal Home Show.
Pieces from reuse shop ’Second Time Around’ were upcycled by Changing Rooms star Linda Barker to style themed rooms in a ‘Traditionally British Home’ show home.
Following a visit to the shop, Linda selected a range of items and upcycled salvaged picture frames and restyled wicker chairs to give a Boho-chic look to a teenager’s room.
Linda Barker said: “The furniture and accessories I used from Second Time Around illustrate perfectly the potential there is in preloved items.
“The reused items really complemented the new ones, creating a traditional yet contemporary feel to the rooms.”
Linda officially opened Second Time Around in November 2015. The shop, based at Kings Road Reuse and Recycling Centre, sells unwanted household items donated by members of the public.
